About Our Data
Where does your climate data come from?
All our climate data comes from NOAA Climate Normals (1991-2020), which represents 30 years of historical weather observations from official weather stations across the United States.
How many cities do you cover?
We currently have climate data for over 10,000 cities across all 50 US states, from major metropolitan areas to small towns.
What climate metrics do you provide?
We provide 8 key climate metrics: temperature (highs, lows, averages), precipitation, snowfall, snow depth, degree days, temperature extremes, precipitation days, and frost probability.
Using Our Platform
Is City Weather Data free to use?
Yes! All climate data and features on our platform are completely free to use. No subscriptions, no hidden fees.
Can I download the data?
Currently, data is available for viewing on our website. We're working on an API and data export features for future releases.
Why is some data missing for certain cities?
Some cities may have incomplete data due to limitations in the NOAA dataset, weather station coverage, or data quality issues. We're continuously working to improve data coverage.
